The Ellesmere New and Used Centre Clothes and Shoes Recycling

The Ellesmere New and Used Centre Recycling

We now have a Recycling bin for both Clothes and Shoes situated outside the shop doorway during opening hours, These clothes and shoes are not for us we are collecting them for meeting the needs for clothes and shoes in developing countries.
We encourage people to dispose of Shoes and Clothes responsibly by recycling them, a lot of people simply throw them in with the refuse which is such a shame when there are many needy people not only in this country but around the World.
Please recycle your old clothes and shoes in the 2 recycling bins outside the shop they are clearly marked and they will be worn by people who urgently need them.

Thank You

David Ellis

Manchester United and Sir Alex raise the cup on the League Title

Manchester United have one more game at the Hawthorns before Sir Alex Ferguson takes his final finale' - but today marks the end of an era at Old Trafford. It's one that started 26 years ago against Queens Park Rangers, when Sir Alex Ferguson - having already presided over a 2-0 defeat at Oxford United and a goalless draw at Norwich City - took his position in the Manchester United dugout at what was then known as the Theatre of Pipe Dreams for the very first time.

Manchester United: Turner, Sivebaek, Duxbury, Moses, McGrath, Hogg, Olsen, Blackmore, Stapleton, Davenport, Barnes (Strachan).
Queens Park Rangers: Seaman, Fereday (James), Dawes, Allen, McDonald, Chivers, Fenwick, Lee, Bannister, Byrne, Rosenior.
United's attendances in the final days of the Ron Atkinson era had suffered, the Old Trafford faithful having had more than enough of the slump in form. 33,340 turned up for a torrid home defeat to Chelsea at the end of September 1986 - but a bumper crowd of 42,235 turned up to welcome their latest manager. "You're the greatest supporters in the world," said Fergie as he received a standing ovation before kick-off, and they were rewarded with the first victory of the new manager's reign, a 1-0 win over QPR, John Sivebaek knocking in a free kick on 32 minutes.
With Fergie up and running, The subsequent 26 years, five months and 19 days have been fairly well documented, so let's fast forward to today, and his curtain call at the Theatre of Dreams, which will see him lift his 13th English league title, do a lap of honour, wave at the crowd a bit, and perhaps say a few emotional words over the intercom. It promises to be quite the event,
With a 2-1 victory over Swansea  They've won the League Cup.
A great touch was to let Sir Alex lift the trophy and let him savour every moment as it is only fitting after all the hard work he has done for the club.
Well done boys for winning the league and Sir Alex one more game to go then you can put your feet up for a well deserved rest, although I am sure he won't be out of the limelight for long.

Sir Alex Ferguson is to retire after 26 years at Manchester United

A very sad day for Manchester United's football fans all over the World after manager Sir Alex Ferguson announced his retirement after 26 years of managing the top flight team to amazing victory's over his 26 year period. Sir Alex has become an icon at Old Trafford and will be sadly missed by all. I for one have supported Manchester United since I was a young boy and never imagined the football club with anybody else in charge. I don't know who is going to replace the legend manager but it will surely be someone on top of there game as a manager. I would hope the next manager of the club will be a long term signing and personally I would like to see Harry Redknapp  take up the reigns. Sir Alex W e will all miss you and wish you well you have served the club for 26 years and made all Manchester United Supporters proud of the teams throughout. Thank you Sir Alex.

A lovely sunny day in Ellesmere Shropshire

Today was a lovely sunny day and a sign that Summer is on its way finally, everyone was going about there business with a smile on there faces after such a long unsettled winter period. It was a real pleasure driving into work with the sun shining so early in the morning the birds singing and a calm peaceful sound as I walked through Ellesmere. Lets hope the Summer this year is a long one I think we are due a good summer.
